TCP, Inc. Develops the Lighting Industry’s First CFL Dimming System

Self-adjusting capability maintains smooth, consistent light levels

NEW YORK (May 8-10, 2007)  – TCP, Inc. introduces a breakthrough in lighting technology that is dramatically improving the dimming capabilities of energy efficient lighting in commercial applications.  TCP’s 600-watt dimming system incorporates “intelligence” in the switch, which allows it to automatically adjust the light levels on the low end to eliminate flickering and lamp drop out.

As an added feature, the dimming system includes two scene-selector control buttons, which allow users to preset light levels to their favorite and most used settings.  The dimming system remembers the pre-selected light levels, allowing users to simply push one button for the preferred lighting for dining, entertaining, or working.

The dimming system operates TCP’s 301 series high power factor energy efficient compact fluorescent SpringLamps available in a dimmable 23-watt CFL, a 16-watt Floodlight and a 19-watt PAR 38.  The 301 series lasts 10,000 hours and uses low sodium glass for 90% lumen maintenance over the life of the lamp.

TCP, Inc., headquartered in Aurora, Ohio, drives lighting innovation for commercial, industrial and residential applications.  As the leader in energy efficient lighting, TCP manufactures the most compact fluorescent lamps in the industry, offers one of the largest number of ENERGY STAR approved products and distributes them throughout North America and abroad.  The company’s extensive product line includes compact fluorescent lamps, cold cathode lamps, linear fluorescent lamps, ballasts and fixtures, exit and emergency lighting, HID, energy efficient fixtures, and LED lighting products/solutions.  For more information, visit us at www.tcpi.com or call (800) 324-1496.
