TCP Launches LED Decorative Series
Aurora, Ohio – (May 4, 2009) –TCP is launching the LED Decorative Series, a truly energy efficient alternative to incandescent decorative lamps. Utilizing advanced LED technology, TCP is delivering a fully dimmable, attractive solution to outdated decorative incandescent lighting.
TCP’s new LED Decorative Series is unique to the industry in its technology and design. The series features a 360 degree filament-style light output, which gives the lamp brilliant light output to create any desired atmosphere. Lamps in the Decorative Series are dimmable from 100% - 0%, have 20,000 hour rated life, and a high power factors. This patent-pending design also features robust driver technology, built-in thermal protection for added safety, and transient protection to 6000 volts.
In addition to its beauty, the LED Decorative Series is energy efficient, with at least 80% energy savings realized after installation. With a one-year payback, the LED Decorative Series lamp saves $90 per lamp over the life of the lamp, which is 6.6 years (based on eight hours average operation per day).
“The savings that can be realized by using the LED Decorative Series lamps is substantial, especially for a hotel or restaurant that has several decorative lighting fixtures with ten or more sockets each,” explains Paul Phillips, LED Product Manager for TCP.
The TCP LED Decorative Series lamps are rated for dry and damp locations, and are RoHS Compliant. It comes in many bulb styles including Torpedo (Clear and Crystal-Cut), Flame, G16.5, A15, and E12, E17, E26 base styles. This technology can be utilized in many places such as accent and decorative lighting, chandeliers, ceiling fans, and indoor / outdoor fixtures.
