Why change your light?

If every American home replaced just one light bulb with a compact fluorescent, the Environmental Protection Agency says we would:

Save enough energy to light more than 3 million homes for a year.

Save more than $600 million in annual energy costs.

Prevent greenhouse gases equivalent to the emissions of more than 800,000 cars.

On a more individual note…

A single 19 watt SpringLight burns 56 watts less than a comparable 75 watt incandescent bulb and provides the same amount of pleasing light.

Over the 10,000 hour life of a SpringLight CFL, you would save 560 kilowatt hours.

At 10 cents per kilowatt-hour, that’s a $56 energy cost savings per SpringLight.

And don’t forget to deduct the cost of replacing 10 to 13 incandescent bulbs, which generally last only 750 to 1,000 hours each.
